Julian Berger, CEO of Julius Berger GmbH & Co. KG in Wuppertal, was selected as a winner of the “Sourcing Taiwan 2025” program (November 2025), funded by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). Isabel Wiedenroth, CEO of SGT - BAFA-listed with Asia expertise - supported Berger throughout its sourcing activities in Taiwan. She designed and prepared the trip with great care, tailoring every aspect to the needs of the German company with over 100 years of tradition. During three intensive days, the delegation held targeted meetings with selected Taiwanese hidden champions and visited their production sites, focusing especially on family-owned SMEs with traditionally strong ties to Germany. 

A special highlight was the dinner with Mr. Joe Chou, Vice President of TAITRA, where "we had the opportunity to taste a new, innovative tea variety made from pure organic cultivation – a delightful finale to an inspiring, perfectly organized trip", said Julian Berger (see photo above).
